Copyright and DMCA Policy
Effective October 13, 2026
What this covers
Tidy stores content at its members’ direction: notes, files, attachments, images, and recordings, in private and shared workspaces. Members can also publish forms and booking pages that anyone can open. This policy covers all content Tidy hosts. We respond to copyright notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Sending a notice
Email [email protected] with “Copyright notice” in the subject. A notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The copyrighted work you say was infringed, or a list if there are several.
- The material you want removed, with enough detail for us to find it, such as a link.
- Your name, address, phone number, and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.
An incomplete notice may not be acted on. If you knowingly misrepresent that material infringes, you can be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees.
What we do with a notice
We review it. If it is valid, we remove the material or disable access to it, and we tell the member who posted it.
Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentified, email [email protected] with “Copyright counter-notice” in the subject. A counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- The material that was removed and where it was before.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and phone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the US, any judicial district where Tidy may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice or their agent.
We send the counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. We restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice, unless that person tells us they have filed a court action to stop the infringement.
If you knowingly misrepresent that material was removed by mistake, you can be liable for damages.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe copyright.
